With the experience of executive roles in the commercial and the voluntary sectors, after an early career in banking, Philip Angier brings to the strategic task the qualities of a clear thinker, integrating values, impact and effectiveness into organisational strategies.

As Managing Director of Traidcraft Plc, and latterly the Group's Chief Executive, Philip Angier led the organisation through a process of major change. As Chair of Just Pensions and Moderator of Shared Interest Philip has steered strategy and policy reviews at a Board level.

'Strategic leadership requires honesty, a readiness to admit you're wrong, and a readiness to look personally foolish. Most fully baked ideas start out half-baked!' - Sir John Hoskyns, Burton Group

Angier Griffin has led or participated in a number of strategy review assignments (see Client list). Philip Angier’s Board level experience, both as an executive and in a non-executive role, equip him well to contribute insights and to advise on processes to enable organisations to direct their strategy with greater effectiveness.

Angier Griffin offers help and advice on:

  • strategy development for social enterprises and voluntary sector organisations

  • structures, governance and legal form

  • balancing the needs of different stakeholders

  • strategy appraisals for business start-ups and maturing businesses in need of re-financing
